Why are the Danes so helpful and nice!?
Everytime I go to the supermarket, I try to speak in Danish. And I say I try, because I know my Danish sucks, but I have to try and practice it, don't I? So far so good, but as soon as I let the words out of my mouth (which have been rehearsed like 1000 times before), the sweet girl behind the counter replies in English!! I mean, do I have a sign on my forehead saying "I Don't Speak Danish" or "Foreigner"??? LOL actually is quite awesome that everyone tries to make things easier for you and answer you back in English, but sometimes it's frustrating! :P
Even at Burger King, when I only have to say 'en Whopper', they reply 'and what's the drink?' Come on! How can they tell?? lol
