I arrived home (Aarhus is my home now, after all) yesterday around 5 in the morning... after 8 days travelling around Central Europe and visiting cities that I never thought I would visit so soon in my life... Bratislava was ok, but disappointed me a bit... the old town is beautiful but that was it... the communist era is still fresh and you can tell quite easily.
Vienna is quite something - all you expect is there: the amazing architecture, the fairy tales city, the crowded streets, the cultural events... you actually breathe harmony and beauty in the capital of Austria.
Highlights: meeting in my hostel a group of portuguese that are studying in Warsaw with my best friend; a guy throwing up from our bedroom window which was 3 stores high in the middle of the night; and St. Stephan's Cathedral that is simply monumental.
And finally, Budapest. I can say that I truly fell in love with Budapest. Not only can it be beautiful, but also cosmopolitan and with a pulsating life - not forgetting the lively nightlife and the friendly people. And did I mentioned the cute and hot hungarians!? I will definetely come back!!
Highlights: the hungarian national Parliament, that apparently Michael Jackson wanted to buy, and I can see why; the view from the Fishermen's Bastion - breathtaking; the night out on Tuzhely tér (or something like that), which is an abandoned factory where they have this rave parties and electro music concerts; learning some hungrian words - szeretlek, émberek, köszönöm, puszi ... ;)
