As the 4 people who usually read my blog must already know, I'm on a trip around Scandinavia since last thursday. Actually it is not really around the whole peninsula, but only Malmö, Stockholm, Göteborg and Oslo. And I said only. Try to take these 8-hour train journeys!
I am now at the Oslo train station, waiting for my 12 hour-trip back home to begin...
For someone who has been living in Denmark for the past 10 months, Sweden and Norway are not that much different. However, let me say that Stockholm is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever visited and Oslo has the setting of a Mediterranean city - I felt like I wasn't visiting a Nordic capital.
Highlights of the trip:
- my hostel in Stockholm was on a boat - try sleeping without getting seasick!
- I met this amazingly nice Canadians there - what's the deal with so many Americans and Canadians "interrailling" Europe!?
- I met some portuguese guys in Göteborg and watched the national team's game (1-o!! hooray!) - sweated victory, though
- I spent at least 1 hour sunbathing at every park I could find in each city that I visited, and I almost got sun-burnt yesterday at Slottsparken here in Oslo.
- I couldn't even by souvenirs in Oslo - it's the fucking most expensive place I've ever been to!
The photos will come later, though I took only a few...
