what have I been up to?

oh my god!! Only 3 weeks since my last post, but so much to tell...
I guess I'll do it in a chronological way, but I'll try to be as short as possible.

October 13th-15th
Visited my friend Catarina in Hamburg, where she is working through a Leo DaVinci intership.
Went by train from Cph and the train actually went in the ferry-boat from Rødby (danish coast) to Puttgarden (german coast). When I saw on the schedule I thought we would get off the train at Rødby, get into the ferry and then into another train in Puttgarden, but the train travels inside the ferry! I was amazed :) It was a complete novelty for me...

Anyway, the weekend was fabulous! I began by going to a Snow Patrol concert by myself (she had a special dinner). They are my favourite band at the moment so I was pretty excited about it. And it was awesome!! They are great live and played all my favourite songs... Just beautiful!
I then joined her and the other guys doing internships there and we went out to St Pauli, which is the center of sin in all Northern Europe...
On saturday we celebrated one of the french guys' birthday at their appartment... a lot of booze, silliness and photos that prove such a crazy night actually happened!!
We still had time for a day trip to Lübeck on sunday, each and single one of us with a massive hangover... But I left them at the end of the day towards Copenhagen with a smile on my face, and I grin everytime I remember that amazing weekend.

October 16th-27th
Lots of working: waking up at 5:30 to get the train to Ballerup and the bus from there to Hove, driving the kids to and from school (Hove-Jaægerspris in 45 minutes - I'm an ace of the wheel now); swimming; listening to Radio100; rediscovering the joy of Faxe Kondi, remoulade and 7-Eleven.
Not so much sleep.

October 28th
Halloween party at Iason's
  • Cooking keema - a pakistani dish, supervised by Dan and Mike;
  • Dressing up with a Deathman gown and hood and being the less original (Iason's Darth Maul make-up was awesome);
  • Drinking lots of homemade beer, courtesy of Lasse, and blue curaçao with orange juice and Malibu, courtesy of Mike;
  • Going with the gang, everyone in full costume, to Pan;
  • Rediscovering the danish pop/eurotrash-loving dance crowd that overflods Denmark;
  • Discovering that there's still hope - there actually are empty but lively dancefloors with good house music;
  • Being the last one of the gang to leave the club, with Morten - as always we're the persistant ones.
