J-Dag

Yesterday was J-Dag, another danish tradition we were eager to be part of.

J-Dag is the day when the special Christmas Beer (Juleøl) arrives at 20:59 sharp all over the country. The Christmas Beer is a dark but sweet beer with a taste of Christmas. In every bar around town they celebrate this event with lots of beer, snow and great parties.
To celebrate it, I went over to Ági's building (which is in the same kollegium I live) and had my first Juleøl, along with some shots of Palinka (a VERY strong hungarian drink). After everyone was drunk, we went to the kollegium's bar to celebrate and drink even more. It was my first time in my kollegium's bar (been living here for more than 3 months and never been there!), but it is a nice place. We danced and played pool, but the Juleøl gave me ick-ups so I wasn't feeling very well...
In the next afternoon I went back to Ági's where we ate the remaining Goulash... lækker!!
